Request for services

A request for a CDR service can be via an email to cdr.support@cern.ch with the following details:

• Experiment name and sub group
• Run contact person + Email address
• DAQ machine name and OS (Linux by default)
• CDR account name - this account will own the files in CASTOR
• CDR account password
• Local directory(s) containing data files to be copied
• File tag - a string identifying data files
• Pathname in CASTOR where file are copied
• Start date/End Date of run - rough dates are fine
• Approx values for data rate and data volume

Requests are sent to CDR support, and you should normally receive a response within a few working days. Please read the section on system requirements for the CDR service. This explain some of the parameters listed above should be read.
